What if babies could talk?
That's what DC Campaign board member Jennifer Burton asked groups of teens throughout the city. Burton, founding partner of Envision Communications, produced a series of edgy and provocative print ads focused on preventing teen pregnancy. Instead of adults lecturing teens to wait until they're older to have children, in these ads, babies talk directly to their teen parents.
"Be a Kid. Don't Have One." was the result.
DC Campaign's mission is to cut the city's teen pregnancy rate in half by 2015. These ads can help us get there. Look for them on buses all over town and at these metro stations: Addison Road-Seat Pleasant, Columbia Heights, Judiciary Square, Mt. Vernon 7th Street/Convention Center and Shaw-Howard University.
Everyone can help prevent teen pregnancy. Tell me now what you think about the ads and let me know what you'd like to do to help every teen in DC have a good future.

These are great. It's nice to see a campaign in America designed to promote contraception, rather than simply demonising sex.
I think this website is amazing at raising awareness about teen pregnancy. Thank you so much for raising awareness about this important problem in America. I am doing a project on teen pregnancy and am starting a campaign and I would like to thank you so much for inspiring me. Teen pregnancy is a big problem that needs to stop by raising more awareness. Thank you so much. And by the way I am a fourteen year old girl who will have the most famous campaign one day. Just wait... you'll see.
Could I get these posters in print sent to Jamaica. They would be ideal for promoting this cause in my school. Email me at stoplooktalk@gmail.com
